| How The Body Works Maintaining Health (Homeostasis) To truly understand vaccines, it is imperative to have at least a basic understanding of how the body maintains health and the body’s relationship to toxins. Our body is designed to maintain homeostasis. In an extremely basic definition, homeostasis is the body’s ability and nature to regulate itself and maintain balance. Disease and illness are not a natural state for the body. We are plagued by so much illness in our nation that it is the norm to think that the body is supposed to become ill on occasion; that this is perfectly normal and acceptable. While illness is commonplace, and our medical establishment would like you to believe it is unavoidable; it is not a normal, natural function of the body. Because of this, it is actually possible to avoid illness by giving the body the components it needs to maintain homeostasis. The body needs proper nutrition in the form of fresh organic produce, proper exposure to sunlight, purified water, good air quality, proper sleep, and proper exercise to maintain its balance. The needs of the body are actually very basic. Unfortunately, it is not so easy in our society to obtain what the body needs. In fact, it can be a constant struggle. Toxins This is where the relationship to toxins comes into play. A toxin is a substance that is poisonous in the body and when present, has the capability of producing disease. Our body is designed with many great defense mechanisms that allow it to handle a fairly exceptional amount of toxins without illness or disease necessarily being produced. Basically, this goes back to our body’s design. Our body wants to maintain homeostasis and be disease free, so it will tolerate and try to rid itself of anything that comes in jeopardy of disrupting this state. When our body is filled with so many toxins that it can’t keep up, this is when illness and disease occur. The world we live in is extremely toxic to the body. For the beginner, it is truly hard to contemplate the enormity of things that are toxic to the body. From the clothes we wear to the furniture we have to the things we eat to our cosmetics and personal care products to the water we drink to the way our houses are constructed to the air we breathe. All these things have toxins in them that our bodies have to deal with. Most toxins come in the form of chemicals. I approach all chemicals with caution as if none of them are good for the body, and why shouldn’t I? Since World War II, there have been somewhere in the vicinity of 80,000 chemicals created. Only approximately 3,000 of them have undergone any sort of testing whatsoever. Yet, these chemicals never tested for safety in humans appear in many common products that we use every day. This is an entirely separate topic covered under our toxin free parenting section. Vaccines As Toxins So, where do vaccines fit into all of this? Vaccines have some of the most toxic substances known to man in them. Many of the substances in vaccines have never been tested for what they actually do in the human body. When the body is injected full of toxins, the body is in a weakened state as it tries to deal with the toxins. This is when it becomes vulnerable. The bottom line is that good health can only be obtained by giving the body what it needs and trying to stay away from what it doesn’t need. Good health is no accident. If your body is given what it needs, it will be strong enough to resist illness as it is designed to do. When the body is capable of resisting illness, there is no need for vaccines. This is a very simplified version. In my mind, this is where the debate should end. However, it doesn’t, so we’ll continue. Immune System Injury Some people who assume vaccines do what they are supposed to do in the body (which is to prevent illness) are willing to take the risk of the toxicity of the vaccine in order to gain immunity. In later sections, I shed light on why this is problematic thinking, but it is proper to address this issue here as well. Not all toxins are created equal. There is a wide variance between individual thresholds of toxicity. There are also considerations of the state of a person’s current health and a toxin’s particular toxicity. With these variables in place, it is not a good idea to risk getting a vaccine and hoping for the best. There is no way to predict how the body will react in each individual. There is no way to determine genetic variances, immune system strength, the body’s present toxin load, etc. Not many parents would risk their children’s health in this way if they truly understood. Vaccines are toxic and unsafe for every person at any age, which is why delaying vaccines, but giving them to a child at a later age, is also an unwise choice. There has been increasing evidence of the damaging effects on the immune system do to vaccines. Many researchers feel that once the integrity of the immune system is compromised, as in the case of a vaccine, it will never again function as optimally as originally intended. Researchers are only just beginning to understand how the immune system truly works. No one knows yet! We don’t have it all figured out. Conventional wisdom arrogantly assumes all the time that we have all the answers, but we don’t. New research shows we are wrong about previous assumptions all the time. With this in mind, it is completely plausible that we could be doing damage with vaccines that we have yet to realize. When toxic substances and viruses are injected directly into the bloodstream, all the body’s natural defenses are bypassed. This forces the body’s immune system to respond unnaturally. It also hampers the body’s ability because the immune system now must try to function with a limited amount of its defenses. This confuses the body to say the least. It is thought by some researchers that this causes the immune system to begin failing to recognize “self” from “not self”. This is a vital function of the immune system. This is where conditions such as cancer and autoimmune diseases can begin. More heavily vaccinated populations also have a smaller (atrophied) thymus gland compared to poorly or non-vaccinated populations. The thymus gland is a key component of the immune system. |
